Maintenance Technician I - Technical Support

Location: Clayton, North Carolina, United States; onsite at a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility

What you will do

• Improve the performance and reliability of process equipment while reducing downtime.
• Restore equipment function safely and in a technically correct manner.
• Plan and perform corrective and preventive maintenance for assigned processes.
• Lead event response activities, monitor equipment trends, and develop action plans.
• Support reliability improvement projects and assist with training and coaching for process operations.
• Record and review maintenance data and oversee SAP work orders and completion.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent military or industrial training covering mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
• At least three years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment, hazardous materials, confined spaces, elevated heights, loud noise, and extreme temperatures.
• Ability to stand for up to a 12-hour shift, move equipment or supplies weighing up to 33 pounds, and pass a powered industrial truck driving exam.
• Knowledge of compressed air, electro-mechanical controls, electrical and mechanical systems, instrumentation, and robotics is preferred.
• Experience with SAP, automated records systems, schematics, wiring diagrams, technical documents, and troubleshooting strategies is preferred.
