BSL III Maintenance Technician

Location: Swiftwater, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite. Second shift, either Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday, 3:00–11:30 p.m.; holiday and weekend work, mandatory overtime, and support for 24/7 BSL III coverage may be required.

What you will do

• Support the design, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of site-wide equipment in GMP, GLP, and non-GMP facilities.
• Perform timely preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial and process equipment, including autoclaves, pumps, motors, refrigeration systems, chillers, air handling units, valves, piping, and water systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, including DC controls, single-phase and three-phase systems up to 480V, VFDs, VAVs, and JCI Metasys systems.
• Execute maintenance safely using permits, permit-to-work procedures, and lockout/tagout requirements.
• Maintain accurate and complete work orders and documentation in support of manufacturing operations and quality results.
• Collaborate with HSE, Manufacturing & Supply, Engineering, contractors, R&D, MSAT, GCI, and other support groups to maintain equipment uptime.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor’s degree plus 3+ years of equipment maintenance experience, or high school diploma plus 5+ years of experience.
• In-depth equipment knowledge, strong troubleshooting skills, and an understanding of precision maintenance concepts.
• Electrical experience troubleshooting electromechanical systems.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints and work with industrial utilities, steam, compressed air, wastewater, and high-voltage systems.
• Must participate in the Medical Surveillance Program, FBI clearances, 24/7 BSL III coverage, and N95 and full-face respirator certification.
• Ability to work with temperature extremes, protective clothing, excessive noise, fumes, dust, adverse weather, steam, hot water, and loads above 20 pounds.
