Lead Procurement Engineer (Offshore Water Injection): Managing procurement for offshore water injection facilities, including equipment packages, bulk materials, supplier engagement, commercial evaluations, and contract negotiations, with an accent on delivery schedules, project compliance, and coordination across engineering, construction, logistics, and project management. Focus on developing sourcing strategies, mitigating commercial risks, resolving supplier and procurement bottlenecks, and delivering complex offshore equipment packages on schedule.
Location: Based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; relocation to the Spain office during the project, followed by a return to Abu Dhabi

What you will do
- Lead procurement activities for major equipment packages and bulk materials for offshore water injection facilities.
- Develop procurement plans, sourcing strategies, purchasing schedules, and progress reports aligned with project milestones.
- Prepare RFQs, ITBs, commercial bid evaluations, recommendation reports, and technical bid packages with engineering teams.
- Manage supplier prequalification, market assessments, vendor performance, commercial negotiations, contracts, purchase orders, variations, and claims.
- Coordinate manufacturing expediting, inspection, logistics, customs clearance, and transportation to support on-time delivery.
- Interface with project management, engineering, QA/QC, construction, clients, and vendors while leading and mentoring procurement team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, such as Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Industrial, or a related discipline.
- 15–18+ years of procurement experience in Oil & Gas, EPC, or offshore projects.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Lead Procurement Engineer or Procurement Lead.
- Experience delivering procurement packages for offshore upstream facilities, water injection projects, platforms, FPSOs, or subsea developments.
- Strong knowledge of international procurement practices and contract management.
- Availability to work in Abu Dhabi, relocate to the Spain office, and subsequently return to Abu Dhabi is required.
Nice to have
- CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent professional procurement certification.
- Experience with water injection pumps, seawater lift pumps, filtration, deaeration, chemical injection, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, offshore structural materials, PVF, electrical equipment, instrumentation and control systems, or subsea equipment packages.
