Specialist Process Engineer (Offshore Water Injection)

Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, with relocation to the Spain office during the administrative and project process before returning to Abu Dhabi.

What you will do

• Lead process engineering for offshore water injection systems and associated facilities.
• Develop and review PFDs, P&IDs, process design bases, engineering calculations, hydraulic analyses, and equipment sizing.
• Optimize water injection and produced water systems through process simulation, performance evaluation, and debottlenecking studies.
• Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, process risk assessments, and Management of Change activities.
• Coordinate with mechanical, piping, instrumentation, electrical, operations, vendors, construction, and commissioning teams.
• Support brownfield assessments, tie-in and shutdown planning, offshore surveys, commissioning, startup, performance testing, and operational troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering.
• 15–18 years of process engineering experience in oil and gas projects.
• At least 5 years of experience in offshore brownfield projects.
• Experience with offshore water injection facilities, produced water systems, FEED, detailed engineering, EPC, commissioning, and startup.
• Proficiency with Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, PipeSim, Flarenet, HTRI, PipeFlow, and Microsoft Office.
• Work sequence requires being based in Abu Dhabi, relocating to the Spain office, and subsequently returning to Abu Dhabi.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional registration.
• ADNOC Offshore or broader Middle East project experience.
