Staff Nurse Inpatient-Inpatient Behavioral Health Part-Nights

What you will do

• Provide professional nursing care to acutely ill inpatient behavioral health patients.
• Collect and analyze patient data, establish expected outcomes, and develop individualized care plans.
• Implement, coordinate, delegate, and evaluate nursing interventions and patient progress.
• Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, ancillary staff, and other healthcare professionals.
• Document care, patient responses, communications, and updates to individualized plans in the health record.
• Participate in shared governance, committee work, unit projects, and evidence-based practice.

Requirements

• BSN required; an ADN is acceptable with a commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of starting the clinical nurse role.
• Current Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and analytical skills.
• Availability for 36 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., with an every-other-weekend commitment.

Nice to have

• Experience in the relevant clinical area.
• Trauma Nurse Specialist, Emergency Communications Registered Nurse, Certified Pediatric Nurse, or Certified Emergency Nurse credentials.
