Lead Supply Quality Engineer (IoT Hardware)

Location: Remote, Guangdong; regular travel around APAC for 25% or more of the time

What you will do

• Implement statistical process control for critical manufacturing parts and ensure suppliers reflect it in their process control plans.
• Lead rapid analysis of production and supplier OQC failures with design engineers to release shipments using risk-mitigating actions.
• Develop preventive measures that reduce production disruption and prevent recurring component failures.
• Update quality-control documentation based on root-cause analysis and field issues.
• Audit new suppliers against quality requirements and drive closure of non-conformances.

Requirements

• 5+ years of quality-management experience in high-volume manufacturing, preferably involving electromechanical products.
• Proven ability to resolve quality issues rapidly and minimise production disruption.
• Strong first-principles thinking and the ability to prioritise critical issues during audits and problem reviews.
• Experience working with suppliers to achieve required quality outcomes in different contexts.
• High proficiency in written, verbal, and reading English is required.
• Willingness to travel regularly around APAC for 25% or more of the working time.

Nice to have

• High proficiency in Mandarin.
• ASQ certification, such as CQE or CQA.
• Formal Internal Auditor Certification.
