2027 Spring Co-op Bioinformatics

Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts; onsite, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Must be able to relocate to the office location for the full six-month co-op.

Salary: $45–$57 per hour, commensurate with demonstrated experience.

What you will do

• Perform cross-disorder single-cell RNA sequencing analyses of human Alzheimer’s disease, ALS, Parkinson’s disease, and multiple sclerosis datasets.
• Organize Neurology omics data on cloud computing infrastructure.
• Improve metadata structure, data governance, security, and long-term data manageability.
• Collect, analyze, visualize, and interpret experimental data with research scientists.
• Participate in experiment design and planning for well-defined Neurology research projects.
• Maintain meticulous records of computational analyses.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Neuroscience, Immunology, Biology, or a related field.
• Must be permanently authorized to work in the United States without requiring current or future employment visa sponsorship.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university throughout the co-op.
• Hands-on experience analyzing single-cell and spatial omics data, preferably in neurodegeneration research.
• Proficiency with Unix, R, and Python.
• Knowledge of statistical methods for omics data analysis and experience with collaborative research.

• Experience analyzing CRISPR perturbation datasets.
• Demonstrated success in a research setting.
