Computational Genomics Research Scientist (Genomics)

Location: Boston, MA, United States. Hybrid position requiring three days per week onsite, with an onsite option available five days per week.

Salary: $112,000–$168,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual bonus and annual equity awards.

What you will do

• Design and execute genomic, sequencing, bioinformatics, and computational studies for early research and multiple disease programs.
• Lead the application and advancement of spatial transcriptomics methods across research teams and sites.
• Analyze and integrate bulk RNA-seq, single-cell, spatial transcriptomics, and other multiomic datasets.
• Apply statistical rigor, published findings, and data visualizations to generate biological insights.
• Translate complex analyses into recommendations and communicate findings to multidisciplinary audiences.
• Improve analytical workflows, reproducibility, usability, and robustness with computational and software teams.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in computational biology, bioinformatics, genomics, systems biology, biomedical engineering, statistics, computer science, or a related quantitative field with 0–3 years of relevant postdoctoral or industry experience; or a related Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing, analyzing, visualizing, and interpreting single-cell genomics and spatial transcriptomics experiments.
• Proficiency in Python and/or R for scientific computing and data analysis.
• Experience with Linux-based high-performance computing and/or cloud computing environments.
• Strong foundations in statistics, experimental design, reproducible computational research, gene editing, molecular biology, and cellular biology.
• Ability to derive biological insights, document analytical workflows, prepare technical reports, and collaborate across cross-functional research teams.
