What you will do

• Lead daily radiation therapy department operations and serve as the departmental point person.
• Review radiation doses, treatment computations, simulations, and computerized treatment plans.
• Administer radiation therapy, assess patients during treatment, and communicate changes to radiation oncologists.
• Coordinate patient scheduling, staff assignments, coverage planning, supplies, equipment, and patient flow.
• Maintain treatment records, perform chart checks, support quality assurance, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Mentor, train, orient, and provide performance feedback to therapists, students, and radiation oncology residents.

Requirements

• Five years of experience as a Radiation Therapist.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
• State of Illinois IEMA Division of Nuclear Safety License.
• A.R.R.T. certification.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association.
• Two to three years of undergraduate education or equivalent.
