Supplier Engineer IV (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Santa Clara, CA, United States; travel required approximately 25% of the time. Relocation is not eligible.

Salary: $133,500–$183,500 per year, with potential bonus and stock award compensation.

What you will do

• Evaluate technical requirements, qualified suppliers, and materials to improve savings, lead times, system performance, product life, and risk.
• Work with New Product Development teams to clarify engineering drawing requirements and communicate expectations to suppliers.
• Engage suppliers in specification development and reviews to support design for manufacturability.
• Support supplier selection and build a supply base competitive in quality, value, delivery, and technology.
• Lead supplier technical audits, evaluate performance and capabilities, and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead quality problem resolution, incident management, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and cost planning.

Requirements

• Deep or broad expertise in a specialized engineering or supplier-related discipline.
• Ability to interpret business challenges and recommend improvements to products, processes, or services.
• Experience leading functional teams or projects with moderate complexity and risk.
• Advanced analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to lead others through complex issues.
• Ability to communicate difficult concepts and negotiate with suppliers and stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.
