Electrical Engineer IV (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States, or Hsinchu, Taiwan. Travel required up to 25% of the time; relocation eligible.

Salary: $116,000–$159,500 per year, plus potential bonus and stock awards.

What you will do

• Evaluate technical requirements for new and existing semiconductor equipment products and recommend materials and qualified suppliers.
• Work with new product development teams to clarify engineering drawing requirements and communicate expectations to suppliers.
• Partner with new product introduction teams and suppliers to review specifications and support design for manufacturability.
• Participate in supplier selection to build a competitive supply base across quality, cost, delivery, and technology.
• Lead supplier technical audits, evaluate supplier performance and capabilities, and train other supplier engineers.
• Lead quality problem resolution and incident management, including root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and systemic supplier improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 7–10 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor equipment products and services, with deep expertise in a specialized engineering discipline.
• Ability to interpret business and technical challenges, lead others through complex problem solving, and recommend engineering and process improvements.
• Ability to communicate difficult concepts and negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
