Product Development Engineer (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Milpitas, California, USA; onsite role

Salary: $95,000–$161,500 annually

What you will do

• Design and develop new features for handler systems and characterize system performance based on customer needs.
• Define, document, and maintain system requirements aligned with project objectives.
• Develop and execute test plans to qualify systems and validate functionality.
• Perform system root cause analysis to improve performance and reliability.
• Support new system installations and resolve customer escalations.
• Collaborate with Product and Program Managers to meet project milestones.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field, plus 2 years of related experience; alternatively, a master’s degree with no related experience.
• Strong analytical and root cause analysis skills.
• Ability to understand robotic hardware and complex equipment issues.
• Excellent communication skills for working with customers, vendors, and cross-cultural teams.
• Willingness to perform hands-on engineering work and manage multiple projects.
• Availability for 15% domestic and international travel is required.
