Sr. Manager, Valuation Oversight

Location: Onsite in Lone Tree, CO; Chicago, IL; or Westlake, TX. Applicants must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Salary: USD $91,800–$135,000 per year, plus eligibility for bonus or incentive opportunities.

What you will do

• Provide strategic oversight of third-party fund administration and pricing service providers.
• Ensure securities are valued according to valuation policies, regulatory standards, and governance requirements.
• Lead complex valuation reviews and support fair value determinations across multiple asset classes.
• Assess operational and valuation risks and present recommendations to governance committees and senior stakeholders.
• Partner with portfolio management, trading, fund accounting, technology, risk, and external service providers.
• Drive process improvements, workflow automation, and operational efficiency initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in financial services, asset management, fund operations, valuation oversight, fund accounting, or related investment operations.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 820, Rule 2a-5, GAAP, and the Investment Company Act of 1940.
• Experience valuing equities, fixed income securities, private investments, derivatives, and other complex investments.
• Experience overseeing critical processes, evaluating risk, leading cross-functional initiatives, and driving process improvements.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, strong communication abilities, and the ability to work independently across diverse teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Bloomberg Terminal, mutual funds, ETFs, and separately managed accounts.
• Experience with alternative investment valuation methodologies, including private equity, private credit, or digital assets.
• Experience managing vendor relationships and third-party service provider oversight.
• Experience with Microsoft Copilot, Eagle Pricing Center, Alteryx, or similar analytics and automation tools.
• CFA, CPA, or progress toward an advanced professional certification.
