TL;DR
Manager, Alternative Investor Services (Finance): Leading fund administration operations for domestic and offshore hedge and private equity funds with an accent on team management, investor transactions, fund onboarding, reporting, and regulatory compliance. Focus on resolving complex client escalations, maintaining fund data integrity, approving capital activity, and driving operational improvements across large-scale financial services environments.

Location: Hybrid in Windsor, CT; Union, NJ; or New York City, NY, with onsite work 6 days per month

Salary: $78,000–$165,000 USD annual base salary, depending on location, skills, experience, education, and performance. The role may also include a discretionary annual bonus and/or equity awards.

What you will do

  • Lead daily team operations, performance reviews, training, coaching, and professional development.
  • Serve as the primary client and internal escalation point for complex investor, operational, and service issues.
  • Oversee client onboarding, fund launches, and coordination with cross-functional partners.
  • Maintain fund data integrity, databases, dashboards, offering documents, investor reports, and fund manager information.
  • Support regulatory compliance, due diligence, audits, reviews, and governance requirements with auditors, accounting teams, and stakeholders.
  • Approve investor transactions, wire transfers, and capital activity while driving process improvements, system testing, and operational enhancements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in investor services, fund administration, alternative investments, or related financial services operations.
  • 2+ years of people management experience, including performance reviews, coaching, and employee development.
  • Experience serving as a client-facing escalation point for complex investor and operational issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements, enhance workflows, support system testing, and scale service delivery.

Nice to have

  • Experience with fund onboarding, fund launches, and end-to-end fund lifecycle management.
  • Knowledge of investor transactions, capital activity, wire approvals, operational controls, risk management, and compliance.
  • Experience working with auditors, accounting teams, and compliance functions on due diligence and regulatory requirements.
