Azure Application & Platform Administrator

Location: Houston, Texas, United States. U.S. citizenship is required; the role may require obtaining and maintaining a security clearance for government or business projects.

What you will do

• Administer Azure subscriptions, management groups, resource groups, application workloads, and PaaS services.
• Deploy, configure, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Storage Accounts, Application Insights, and Logic Apps.
• Support application deployments, release activities, operational transitions, and Tier 2 cloud platform support.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, logging, backup, recovery, governance, RBAC, and Azure Policy controls.
• Investigate incidents and performance issues while improving workload availability, scalability, resiliency, and cost efficiency.
• Develop automation with PowerShell, Azure CLI, and infrastructure-as-code methods, and maintain runbooks and operational documentation.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance when required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
• 2–4+ years of hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Azure environments and enterprise production workloads.
• Production experience with Azure PaaS, application hosting, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and cloud infrastructure troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of application lifecycles, CI/CD, cloud-native architectures, Azure identity, networking, security, governance, and operational support.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104).
• Experience with Azure Policy, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Cost Management, Terraform, Azure Bicep, Azure DevOps, or GitHub.
• Exposure to AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience in regulated, government, or security-sensitive environments.
• Experience creating technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.
