Contractor Special/Program Security Officer (Cybersecurity)

Location: On-site in Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States. Travel requirements are minimal (0–20%), with standard working hours.

Salary: $92,000–$137,000 per year. Additional compensation may include bonuses, sign-on bonuses, and relocation benefits.

What you will do

• Manage SCI and SAP security programs as the primary security official for assigned programs.
• Maintain SCIF and SAPF accreditation, including facility documentation, maps, alarm testing, and compliance records.
• Develop and enforce SOPs for secure facility operations, visitor control, classified material handling, transmission, reproduction, and destruction.
• Oversee physical security systems, access controls, TEMPEST compliance, self-inspections, vulnerability assessments, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate facility accreditation, audits, access certifications, and security activities with government authorities, agencies, customers, and subcontractors.
• Deliver security training and support personnel security actions, foreign travel monitoring, classified systems accreditation, and RMF activities.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility; SAP eligibility and willingness to submit.
• Willingness to take a counterintelligence polygraph and complete drug testing.
• At least four years of relevant experience in DoD, the Intelligence Community, or industrial security.
• Experience with SCIF/SAPF accreditation and compliance documentation, security systems including DISS, NISS, NBIS, SCINet, SIMS, and JADE, and classified systems under RMF.
• In-depth knowledge of NISPOM, ICD 705, DoDM 5205.07, and related Intelligence Community security standards.
• Familiarity with TEMPEST, COMSEC, OPSEC, agency coordination, security guidance, and classified material control.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
• CDSE security training, including FSO Program Management, SAP Mid-Level Security, or SCIF/SAPF planning.
• At least 28 hours of Site Security Manager training and relevant experience.
• Experience briefing executive leadership, government customers, and program managers.
• Leadership experience in high-operational-tempo environments and evolving mission requirements.
