Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Northlake, IL, United States; onsite facility-based role

Salary: $75,000–$80,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop the maintenance team while managing daily preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities.
• Build and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs to increase equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Inspect facilities and equipment, analyze recurring failures, and implement root-cause corrective actions.
• Manage vendors, contractors, service providers, work orders, critical-spares inventory, and maintenance documentation.
• Coordinate construction, equipment installation, facility expansion, relocation, upgrade, and capital improvement projects, including schedules, milestones, budgets, and status reporting.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Safety, Quality, and other departments to maintain compliance and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Minimum 3–5 years of maintenance leadership experience in manufacturing, food processing, fulfillment, distribution, or a similar industrial environment.
• Experience supervising and developing maintenance personnel and holding contractors and vendors accountable.
• Strong knowledge of facility systems, utilities, refrigeration, electrical and mechanical systems, conveyors, packaging equipment, and material-handling equipment.
• Experience managing maintenance, facility improvement, construction, equipment installation, or capital improvement projects using MS Project or comparable software.
• Understanding of building, electrical, mechanical, fire, environmental, safety, permitting, and food-safety requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, problem-solving, vendor-management, and root-cause analysis skills; CMMS experience is preferred.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Industrial Technology, Business, or a related field.
• Experience managing multi-million-dollar construction or facility improvement projects.
• Experience in food, cold-storage, refrigerated, or temperature-controlled distribution environments.
