Maintenance Manager (Manufacturing)

Salary: $100,000–$125,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead the maintenance department and manage maintenance personnel.
• Plan and oversee production equipment repairs, installations, and maintenance projects.
• Maintain preventive and predictive maintenance schedules and logs.
• Identify critical spare parts, monitor inventory, and submit purchase order requests.
• Report and help correct non-conformances.
• Evaluate training needs and manage relationships with contractors and external service providers.

Requirements

• Maintenance management experience, or a relevant bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of experience.
• Alternatively, a relevant vocational or associate degree with 7 years of experience, or 10 years of maintenance experience as a technician or mechanic.
• Required experience with electromechanical machine adjustments, motor speeds, feed rates, and identifying problems that cause equipment downtime.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues without schematics or electrical drawings.
• Experience with production equipment such as electric motors, gearboxes, drives, PLCs, wiring, compressors, and process cooling systems.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, schematics, blueprints, and procedure manuals; fabrication, welding, and brazing skills are also required.

Nice to have

• Experience with induction heaters, HVAC, forklift repair, compressor repair, process cooling towers, and dust collection systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in electronics, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a similar field.
