What you will do

• Manage the maintenance department, including personnel supervision and relationships with outside service providers.
• Identify and execute maintenance projects while maintaining the preventative and predictive maintenance schedules.
• Plan and oversee repair and installation activities for production equipment.
• Monitor inventory of critical spare parts and manage purchase order requests.
• Identify and correct non-conformances to ensure operational safety and reliability.
• Evaluate maintenance support staff and coordinate necessary training.

Requirements

• Must be based in or be able to work on-site in Northbrook, Illinois, USA.
• Bachelor's degree in electronics, mechanical, or industrial engineering with 5+ years of experience, OR an Associate's/vocational degree with 7+ years, OR 10+ years of experience as a maintenance technician.
• Strong expertise in troubleshooting electrical issues without the use of schematics or electrical drawings.
• Proficiency in electromechanical machine adjustments, motor speeds, feed rates, and identifying causes of downtime.
• Practical fabrication skills, including general welding and brazing.
• Ability to interpret technical documents, safety rules, blue prints, and procedure manuals.

Nice to have

• Experience with induction heaters, HVAC, Electric Motors, Fork Lift Repair, and Compressor Repair.
• Knowledge of Process Cooling Towers and Dust Collection systems.
