What you will do

• Support the development, deployment, and optimization of wafer processing equipment across Photolithography, Electromagnetic Plating, or Metrology.
• Manage the installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment to improve uptime and process stability.
• Implement factory control strategies using automation, sensors, and AI-driven monitoring solutions.
• Utilize Python and SQL to deploy data collection systems and integrate tools for enhanced decision-making.
• Build lightweight AI models and rule-based logic for predictive maintenance and anomaly detection.
• Partner with Process, Yield, and Data Engineering teams to solve complex manufacturing issues.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work on-site in Bloomington, MN, USA.
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Computer Engineering, Materials, Physics, or IT) with 2+ years of experience, or a Master's/PhD.
• Hands-on experience with semiconductor or wafer manufacturing equipment.
• Proficiency in programming or scripting languages such as Python, SQL, or R.
• Experience with statistical analysis tools like JMP, Minitab, or Six Sigma methodologies.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating sensors and edge devices into manufacturing equipment.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts applied to fault detection and equipment monitoring.
• Background in upgrading legacy tools with modern automation and control capabilities.
• Knowledge of SPC, DOE, or DMAIC structured problem-solving methodologies.
