Product Analyst

Location: New York, United States

Base compensation: $90,000–$120,000 per year, plus possible variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions.

What you will do

• Analyze, optimize, and benchmark SQL queries across Oracle and Snowflake while resolving complex performance and data quality issues.
• Translate business, regulatory, and operational needs into functional designs, user stories, use cases, and delivery-ready backlog items.
• Define scope, objectives, constraints, assumptions, specifications, and integration requirements for strategic initiatives.
• Conduct impact assessments, manage scope changes and dependencies, and maintain requirements traceability and stakeholder signoffs.
• Support technical design reviews, test planning, UAT, defect triage, user documentation, and release readiness.
• Develop recommendations from quantitative and qualitative data and contribute to SDLC and data-practice improvements.

Requirements

• Experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting functional and nonfunctional requirements, including regulatory controls, data resiliency, and operational considerations.
• Ability to create business analysis artifacts such as process flows, user journeys, decision tables, data mappings, and traceability documentation.
• Experience supporting backlog refinement by defining scope, acceptance criteria, business rules, and edge cases.
• Ability to conduct cross-system and workflow impact assessments while identifying risks and dependencies.
• Experience partnering with QA and business stakeholders to validate requirements, support UAT, and assist with defect triage.
