Senior HR Business Partner

Location: Hybrid, within commutable distance of the New York City or San Francisco offices, or willing to relocate to the United States. Office attendance is required Tuesdays and Thursdays plus one additional flexible day.

Salary: $160,000–$190,000 base salary annually, plus equity and benefits. Variable compensation may apply.

What you will do

• Partner with functional leaders on organizational design, headcount planning, leveling, and team structure.
• Coach managers on feedback, performance, team dynamics, and difficult conversations.
• Own employee relations end to end, including investigations, performance improvement plans, and separations in coordination with counsel.
• Run performance and compensation cycles from calibration through communication with People Operations.
• Turn people data into decisions and build scalable People playbooks.
• Use AI to automate repeatable People work and focus on judgment, coaching, and strategy.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as an HR Business Partner or People Partner in high-growth environments.
• Experience scaling organizations from 150 to 500 employees.
• Deep employee relations experience and fluency in multi-state US employment practices.
• Hands-on experience running performance and compensation cycles.
• Ability to coach and challenge leaders directly with sound judgment.
• Data fluency and demonstrated use of AI tools to automate work are required.
