Entry Level - Casting Process Engineer

Location: Onsite in Warren, Michigan, United States; full-time shop-floor presence required

What you will do

• Develop, test, validate, and implement casting manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, sequences, and operations for new production programs.
• Collaborate with Launch, Quality Control, Design, Tooling, suppliers, vendors, and other technical support groups.
• Support manufacturing validations, build plans, PPAP, equipment and tooling installations, and production launch activities.
• Lead and present casting defect analysis while troubleshooting process, tooling, and equipment issues.
• Create process flow diagrams, PCPs, PFMEAs, TIS documents, and other technical launch documentation.
• Analyze first-time quality data and perform destructive and non-destructive testing, including leak testing, X-ray, CT, thermal, chemistry, density, and mechanical testing.

Requirements

• Training in foundry processes and process engineering procedures.
• Basic knowledge of Mahirify.globala, Flow-3D, or comparable casting simulation software.
• Basic knowledge of NX, CATIA, or another 3D design software.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, metallurgy, computer science, or equivalent experience.
• Must be able to start work in October 2026 and work onsite in Warren, Michigan.

Nice to have

• Training in aluminum metallurgy and flow simulations.
• Training in 3D design software, mechanical properties testing, and structured problem solving.
