Manufacturing Engineer (Automotive)

TL;DR

What you will do

• Lead and support major manufacturing projects and the implementation of divisional and corporate policies.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address equipment and process failures.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance safety, quality, cost, and productivity.
• Manage third-party contractors through equipment installation, debugging, validation, and production release.
• Develop long-term plans to improve manufacturing processes, equipment reliability, and operational performance.
• Collaborate with plant personnel, corporate partners, and suppliers to resolve issues and achieve business objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and manufacturing experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Project).
• Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience in automotive manufacturing, additive manufacturing, or 3D printing technologies.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Siemens NX, industrial robotics, or automation systems.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Global Manufacturing System (GMS) principles.
• Experience with Maximo or other CMMS and predictive maintenance technologies.
• Familiarity with root cause analysis methodologies such as 5 Why, Fishbone, or Red X.
