Computer Science Internship Summer 2027

Location: Remote within the United States; the team is local to Huntsville, Alabama, so in-person collaboration may be possible.

What you will do

• Apply cybersecurity techniques to offensive and defensive missions.
• Create custom software applications from ideation through development and testing.
• Develop technology demonstrations using commercial cloud infrastructures such as AWS and Microsoft Azure.
• Assess new application ideas and research competitor offerings.
• Develop applications as part of a team and demonstrate a prototype to company leadership at the end of the internship.

Requirements

• US citizenship and the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance are required. Successful candidates may be sponsored for a security clearance.
• Currently studying Computer Science, with an expected graduation date of May 2028.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to work effectively in teams.
• Computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication, critical thinking, leadership, teamwork, self-management, and demonstrated academic success.

Nice to have

• Experience with group programming projects and Agile processes, especially Scrum.
• Proficiency in Java and Python.
• Frontend or backend development experience.
• Experience with Node, Git, and cloud systems such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Personal software development projects.
