2027 Spring Term Software Engineer Co-op (Fintech)

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; hybrid in-person schedule at the Chicago office

Salary: $36.00 per hour for the Illinois market, based on experience, qualifications, and location.

What you will do

• Design, build, test, and maintain applications alongside software developers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on application design and development.
• Improve application performance, stability, user experience, and operational efficiency.
• Evaluate and implement technologies, and assist with software quality testing.
• Support Agile/Scrum development and application operations.
• Write technical documentation and translate business requirements into functional specifications.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled at Northeastern University; Computer Science or Engineering majors are preferred.
• Foundational knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or C#, databases, and data structures.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Minimum 3.5 GPA.
• Emerging knowledge of software applications or technical areas such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile technology.
• U.S. work authorization and legal eligibility to work at the specified location are required; visa sponsorship is not offered.
