Embedded Software Engineering Specialist (Embedded C/C++)

Location: Full-time onsite work five days a week in Irving, Texas; Mossville, Illinois; or Clayton, North Carolina, United States. Up to 10% travel is required. Domestic relocation assistance is not available.

Salary: $128,470–$208,770 per year

What you will do

• Define and govern software architecture for remote control and autonomy systems on embedded platforms.
• Design, develop, review, integrate, and test real-time embedded control software.
• Lead AUTOSAR-based architecture and development using Embedded C/C++.
• Define software requirements with traceability to system and customer needs, and standardize machine interfaces across platforms.
• Guide integration across system, hardware, and platform layers while supporting cybersecurity and functional safety.
• Drive verification, validation, quality practices, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, sprint execution, and technical collaboration across distributed engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science; an advanced degree is preferred.
• Strong expertise in embedded C/C++ development in RTOS environments.
• Experience with software architecture and embedded or autonomy systems.
• Deep knowledge of AUTOSAR Classic, including BSW and RTE.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, CAN or Ethernet networks, Git, debuggers, and cross-compilers.
• Ability to work onsite five days a week at one of the specified United States offices; visa sponsorship is not available.
