Embedded Software Engineer (Robotics)

Location: Onsite in Dallas, Texas, United States. Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $73,150–$124,000 base compensation annually.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, maintain, and support embedded software for autonomous robotic vehicle platforms.
• Participate in requirements analysis, architecture, implementation, testing, integration, deployment, and field support.
• Develop features for vehicle control systems, programmable actuators, perception sensors, and intelligent autonomous systems.
• Diagnose software defects and troubleshoot fielded autonomous systems.
• Collaborate with systems, electrical, mechanical, and software engineers on hardware and vehicle subsystem integration.
• Support simulation, validation, continuous refactoring, code reuse, and long-term platform reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of professional experience developing embedded real-time software with C and C++ for embedded processors.
• Strong experience designing and supporting large, multi-threaded applications on RTOS platforms.
• Experience with unit testing, integration testing, simulation, code refactoring, and version control.
• Familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems and hardware/software integration.
• Authorization to work in the United States is required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree and experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Device driver development, low-level embedded programming, and embedded flash programming.
• Experience with autonomous or unmanned vehicles, robotics, ROS/ROS2, control systems, or autonomous navigation.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP, CAN, SPI, RS232, GPS, LiDAR, RADAR, and ultrasonic sensors.
