Senior Revenue Accountant

Riot Games develops games and player-focused entertainment experiences, including League of Legends and other gaming products.

What you will do

• Manage key areas of game revenue accounting, including player life estimate calculations and audit deliverables.
• Reconcile large sales datasets across the order-to-cash process, including payment processor fees, foreign exchange, and taxes.
• Develop reconciliation processes and automation with engineering teams, including understanding system data flows.
• Research and formalize technical accounting positions covering principal versus agent, point-in-time versus over-time recognition, contract costs, and customer consideration.
• Review contracts, improve revenue systems and processes, and address receivables collectability and chargeback risks.
• Oversee close and audit activities, manage external auditor relationships, and mentor accounting staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Big Four experience and CPA designation.
• 6+ years of progressive experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Multinational experience and the ability to manage projects involving multiple groups.
• Strong understanding of revenue recognition in a technology or entertainment company.
• Experience working with high-volume revenue data and engineering or analyst teams; statistical experience with accounting estimates is required.

Nice to have

• Operational experience with global high-volume credit card and B2B transactions.
• Gaming industry experience with player life statistical estimates or similar models.
• Experience with financial ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
