Revenue, Technical Accounting & Policy Senior Manager

What you will do

• Lead accounting reviews of material, unusual, and non-standard customer arrangements across SaaS, subscription, licensing, maintenance, implementation, professional services, usage-based, and partner revenue.
• Own and maintain the revenue recognition framework and group accounting policy manual across regions.
• Review revenue accounting conclusions, approve adjustments, and identify process, system, and control gaps for remediation.
• Research complex accounting matters, provide practical guidance, and prepare audit-ready technical accounting papers.
• Partner with Sales, Legal, Commercial, Corporate Development, Audit, Controls, and Reporting teams on contracts, strategic transactions, acquisitions, controls, and audits.
• Monitor accounting standards, lead adoption efforts, and develop finance capability through training, guidance, and coaching.

Requirements

• CPA professional qualification.
• 8+ years of relevant accounting experience, including substantial post-qualification experience.
• Experience applying ASC 606 and/or IFRS 15 to software, SaaS, or recurring-revenue contracts, including complex and non-standard arrangements.
• Ability to research accounting guidance and produce technical papers suitable for senior management and external audit review.
• Experience leading significant workstreams and reviewing or managing the work of others.
• Excellent written and verbal English, plus strong Excel and financial systems capability for extracting, reconciling, and analysing complex datasets.

Nice to have

• Experience in a multinational software or SaaS group.
• Experience using AI to create more efficient and robust review processes.
• Knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, local GAAP, or statutory reporting.
• Experience with M&A accounting, purchase price allocation, and acquired contract balances.
