Senior Revenue Accountant

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; on-site with anchor days on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Candidates need to be genuinely based in the posted location; relocation support is available for the right person.

What you will do

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for revenue-related areas.
• Execute and lead monthly and quarterly accounting activities under US GAAP and statutory reporting requirements.
• Lead process improvement and transformation initiatives that improve reporting quality, efficiency, scalability, and controls.
• Identify and implement automation, technology, and AI-enabled solutions for management reporting.
• Mentor accounting team members and act as a resource for the broader finance organization.
• Assist with audits and liaise with external auditors.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in Revenue Accounting, preferably in software.
• Experience with SQL reporting, product configuration, revenue recognition rules, and data error resolution.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and audit readiness.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
• Extensive experience with Aptitude RevStream, SFDC, NetSuite, and Stripe.
• Ability to work on-site, collaborate across teams, communicate clearly, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Nice to have

• CPA or similar certification.
