What you will do

• Serve as the primary FP&A business partner for Engineering and Product, owning monthly close, forecasting, and annual planning.
• Build financial frameworks to track AI costs, including model API usage, inference, GPU and cloud infrastructure, tooling, licenses, headcount, and contracted services.
• Develop ROI methodologies and scorecards for AI initiatives and provide recommendations on investment allocation.
• Monitor AI spending efficiency, cost-per-output, revenue-based cost metrics, trends, and anomalies.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, Data Science, and FinOps to model product usage, optimize cloud costs, and plan R&D investments.
• Present financial results and strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders while improving reporting processes and business metrics.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in FP&A or related finance roles; experience supporting technical or R&D organizations is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting.
• Expertise in financial modeling and FP&A systems such as Workday or NetSuite, with mastery of Excel.
• Ability to work autonomously on budgeting, forecasting, investment analysis, and end-to-end workstreams.
• Strong strategic thinking, risk assessment, and executive-level communication skills.
• Intellectual curiosity about AI cost structures and the ability to communicate complex financial topics clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
