Director, Accounting (Hybrid)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid with at least 2 days in the office

What you will do

• Lead and develop the EMEA accounting organization, supporting controllership excellence, operational resilience, succession planning, and consistent regional execution.
• Oversee accounting operations for EMEA legal entities, including US GAAP and statutory reporting, entity governance, financial close, balance sheet reviews, reconciliations, billing, collections, and accounts receivable.
• Maintain the EMEA financial controls framework and accounting policies, identify risks, resolve issues, and complete remediation actions.
• Drive continuous improvement by simplifying, standardizing, and automating processes, including the implementation and use of AI agents.
• Partner with Commercial, Market Access, Customer Care, Legal, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, and IT on accounting, compliance, market expansion, e-invoicing, billing, and business process requirements.
• Lead local statutory audits, manage auditor relationships, and support efficient compliance with applicable standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
• Qualified accountant; CPA preferred.
• Progressive accounting experience, with Big 4, multinational public accounting, SEC registrant, or public company reporting experience preferred.
• Strong ERP and systems integration experience, particularly SAP.
• Technical accounting expertise covering US GAAP, IFRS, revenue accounting, internal controls, and local statutory reporting.
• Regional controllership experience across financial close, balance sheet review, audit support, statutory compliance, and process transformation.
