Director, Global Technical Accounting Transaction Support (Biopharma)

What you will do

• Provide technical accounting advice on licensing, mergers and acquisitions, divestments, alliances, collaboration agreements, R&D in-licensing, leases, and other strategic transactions.
• Assess contemplated transactions and contractual agreements under US GAAP, IFRS, and the hirify.global Global Guide of Accounting.
• Review financial instrument accounting treatments proposed by Corporate Treasury.
• Prepare and communicate formal accounting position papers and memoranda for internal stakeholders and external auditors.
• Coordinate with Consolidations and Statutory Reporting, Tax, Account to Report, Internal Control, business teams, and auditors on accounting, reporting, disclosure, and SOX matters.
• Support global accounts committees and the hard closing process by documenting and concluding complex one-off transactions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited four-year college or university.
• 7–10 years of professional experience.
• CPA certification.
• Management or supervision experience in a public accounting firm.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
• Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, leadership, team-building, and detail-oriented skills.
