Commercial Transportation Insurance Operations Manager

Location: On-site in Costa Mesa, California; willingness to travel up to 25% is required.

Base compensation: $90,000–$150,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead operational strategies, process improvements, workflow enhancements, and technology adoption initiatives.
• Develop, coach, and engage team members while building accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Track KPIs, dashboards, and business metrics to improve operational performance and decision-making.
• Manage operational resources, workforce planning, budgets, and expenses.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and operational best practices while mitigating risks.
• Support client retention, business growth, complex issue resolution, and cross-functional operational alignment.

Requirements

• Active Property & Casualty insurance license required.
• At least 5 years of progressive experience in commercial insurance, financial services, professional services, or a related industry.
• At least 2 years of experience managing teams, including hiring, performance management, coaching, and talent development.
• Experience with process improvement, operational excellence, performance metrics, workforce planning, and budget management.
• Strong business judgment, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred.
