Director of Marketing - New Ventures (AI)

Location: Hybrid, site-based role in Carlsbad, California; office attendance required at least 3 days (60%) per week, with remaining days remote.

Salary: $180,500–$285,000 annually. For specific work locations in San Jose, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the New York City metropolitan area, the range is $224,500–$336,500 annually.

What you will do

• Define the marketing strategy, operating model, priorities, and performance outcomes across the New Ventures portfolio.
• Advise leadership on growth strategies, commercialization plans, investment priorities, and go-to-market decisions from concept through scale.
• Establish portfolio-wide messaging standards, marketing frameworks, and scalable go-to-market practices.
• Evaluate and deploy emerging marketing technologies and AI solutions for strategy, content, campaign optimization, customer insights, and productivity.
• Govern marketing investments, budgets, events, executive engagements, thought leadership, and market-facing programs.
• Set digital engagement standards and performance measurement frameworks across web, social, video, and emerging channels.

Requirements

• Expert marketing knowledge and leadership experience across both B2B and B2C environments.
• Strong communication, strategic thinking, change management, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to operate in ambiguous early-stage startup and scale-up environments.
• Strategic and hands-on execution capability in a lean business unit.
• Demonstrated experience using modern AI tools and technologies in marketing.
• Ability to work from the Carlsbad office at least 3 days per week.
