Engineering Manager, EMEA (Core)

Location: 100% remote for candidates residing in the EMEA region; visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Lead the engineering team responsible for the core platform capabilities used to plan, run, and manage testing.
• Design and deliver agentic workflows that can plan, execute, and adapt testing work.
• Set multi-quarter technical direction and own delivery from concept through production.
• Modernize legacy services, consolidate fragmented data models, and improve transactional integrity.
• Own production support, incident escalation, root-cause resolution, reliability, and observability.
• Coach engineers, improve engineering standards, and contribute 20–30% of the time through production coding, design reviews, and critical-path code reviews.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience managing teams of 4 or more engineers in agile, remote environments.
• Recent hands-on experience writing production code, designing systems, reviewing code, and making architectural decisions.
• Experience building LLM-powered or agentic production features, including orchestration, tool use, retrieval, or evaluation.
• Strong experience with TypeScript, Node.js, AWS, React, and API design.
• Experience with observability and APM tools, slow database transaction optimization, application security, and legacy modernization.
• Fluent English with excellent written and verbal communication is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with GraphQL and Kafka.
• Previous experience managing a SaaS product.
