Manager, Engineering (AI)

Location: United States work authorization required; hybrid schedule for employees near Bellevue, WA or New York, NY, with office attendance 1–3 days per week. Employees located farther from the offices may work fully remotely depending on role responsibilities.

Target cash compensation: $168,529–$212,710 USD annually, plus equity and applicable bonuses or commission.

What you will do

• Lead the engineering team responsible for high-scale media data ingestion, processing, organization, and content cataloging.
• Modernize legacy ingestion and catalog systems to increase throughput, reduce latency, and reduce technical debt.
• Integrate AI and machine learning into creative identification, metadata extraction, fingerprinting, and content tagging workflows.
• Own third-party data integrations, including ACR, set-top-box, streaming, and panel signals, as well as provider migrations and cutovers.
• Set software quality standards, enforce release readiness, and oversee unit, integration, regression, and CI/CD testing.
• Coach engineers, plan sprints, lead root-cause analysis, and maintain the availability and performance of 24/7 ingestion and ad catalog systems.

Requirements

• Experience managing high-performing engineering teams delivering production-grade distributed software at scale.
• Deep expertise in big data architectures, high-throughput ingestion, or media metadata systems.
• Experience modernizing legacy systems and building scalable platform architectures.
• Experience embedding AI or machine learning models into production workflows.
• Architectural proficiency across backend data systems and frontend technologies for internal tools.
• Experience with end-to-end lifecycle ownership, quality governance, operational metrics, agile execution, and cross-functional collaboration.

Nice to have

• Ad tech, media measurement, or audience measurement platform experience.
• Publisher-side or sell-side measurement experience, including reach, frequency, and cross-platform deduplication.
• Exposure to ACR, set-top-box, panel, or streaming census data sources.
• Experience managing engineering work involving enterprise partner SLAs and contractual delivery dates.
