Field Application Engineer (Robotics)

Location: On-site in Sulphur, Louisiana, United States; frequent travel across the country required

Salary: $21–$25 per hour, dependent on experience, plus benefits and equity.

What you will do

• Deploy and operate robotic systems, including drones, quadrupeds, and humanoid robots.
• Support field testing, remote operations, and data collection.
• Assist with client presentations and demonstrations while communicating with non-technical stakeholders.
• Document technical issues, test results, and client feedback.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and improve operational workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system performance and usability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical topics to different audiences.
• Willingness to travel frequently across the United States.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to work fully on-site in Sulphur, Louisiana.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with robotics hardware such as drones, quadrupeds, humanoid robots, or similar systems.
• Familiarity with basic electronics, sensors, and robotic subsystems.
• Basic coding or scripting skills in Python, C++, or a similar language.
• Experience in field testing, remote operations, or client-facing technical roles.
