Field Repair Technician (Robotics)

Location: On-site in Savannah, United States; willingness to travel up to 10% of the time, primarily to the Boston area for training.

Salary: $28–$35 per hour.

What you will do

• Perform complex repairs and preventive maintenance on the on-site Atlas humanoid robot fleet.
• Use hand tools and torque wrenches to complete precision mechanical assembly and repairs.
• Diagnose power distribution, sensor array, and communication bus issues using multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Run hardware health checks in a Linux environment using BASH scripts and Python routines.
• Collaborate with engineering, software, and operations teams to resolve issues and maximize robot uptime.
• Track parts consumption and availability to maintain repair-task readiness.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with mechanical assembly and teardowns.
• Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and performing continuity and voltage testing with a multimeter.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and bills of materials.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with Linux command-line operations, especially Ubuntu or Debian.
• Automotive, aviation, specialty repair, or maintenance experience.
• Ability to read and write basic BASH and Python for automating repetitive test sequences.
• Experience with high-voltage battery systems and complex electromechanical systems.
• Availability for first-shift work and occasional second-shift coverage.
