NPI Engineering Technician (Robotics)

Location: San Carlos, California, United States; on-site

What you will do

• Stand up and sustain manufacturing processes for electromechanical assemblies.
• Improve scrap, rework, first-pass yield, and throughput through hands-on troubleshooting and SPC-driven analysis.
• Validate engineering changes through pilot builds and support production ramp-up.
• Investigate production failures, identify root causes, and implement lasting corrective actions.
• Develop work instructions and documentation that improve repeatability, rework, and serviceability.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in manufacturing, assembly, or an RMA service environment.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical and/or electrical production issues.
• Ability to interpret work instructions, technical drawings, and build documentation.
• Working knowledge of precision mechanical assembly and production inspections or testing.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work on a production floor for a full shift; occasional lifting of up to 35 lbs.

Nice to have

• Experience with new product introduction, production ramp environments, SPC, yield tracking, or basic data analysis.
• Exposure to robotics, automation cells, automotive, or aerospace manufacturing.
• Experience with ECO implementation, first article inspections, and root cause investigations alongside design and quality engineering.
