Desktop Support Analyst I

Location: On-site in Winnetka, Illinois, United States; Monday through Friday, first shift from 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. CST.

Pay rate: $26/hour.

What you will do

• Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, peripherals, and company applications.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues by phone, chat, and in person.
• Install, deploy, maintain, and update systems, including Microsoft security patches and antivirus signatures.
• Track and resolve incidents in internal ticketing systems while meeting service-level agreements.
• Document processes, create knowledge base articles, and contribute to special projects and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors and technicians and order hardware repair parts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or four years of equivalent work experience.
• A+ certification required.
• Intermediate hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint, plus strong macOS skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication, customer service, prioritization, attention to detail, and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and the ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
