Deployment Technician (Job 1428)

Location: Rockville, Maryland, with onsite deployment at the NIH campus and Shady Grove offices

Salary: $20.00–$23.00 per hour

What you will do

• Image, configure, install, deliver, and deploy Dell laptops and Apple MacBook Pro computers.
• Configure standard and third-party applications and maintain secure endpoint environments.
• Provide desk-side and remote technical support to end users, including VIP and executive-level personnel.
• Diagnose operating system, Microsoft Office, and endpoint imaging issues and recommend solutions.
• Manage service requests through a ticketing system and fulfill tasks within agreed service levels.
• Track IT asset movement and perform equipment deliveries and pickups using a provided vehicle.

Requirements

• High school diploma and at least one year of relevant experience.
• Experience supporting desktop and laptop computers, Windows 10/11, and macOS.
• Technical support experience with the Microsoft suite and a ticketing system, preferably ServiceNow.
• Strong customer service, end-user equipment support, written, and oral communication skills.
• Experience supporting VIP users is required.
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree with two years of experience, Associate's degree with four or more years of experience, or equivalent.
• Microsoft Certified Professional, Apple Certified Support Professional, CompTIA Security+, or CompTIA A+ certification.
