R&D Applications Specialist

Location: Hybrid, Somerset, New Jersey, United States. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; employment eligibility is verified through E-Verify.

Base pay: $96,267–$126,351 USD per year, plus performance-based bonus and/or equity for eligible roles.

What you will do

• Administer and maintain Blue Mountain RAM, LabVantage LIMS/ELN, instrument software, and other R&D laboratory applications.
• Configure systems, develop enhancements, maintain master and static data, and support laboratory testing, product release, investigations, and CAPA timelines.
• Troubleshoot system issues, instrument connectivity, laboratory computing environments, and scientific software access.
• Execute and document change controls, dry runs, system testing, user acceptance testing, risk assessments, and qualification protocols for GxP systems.
• Collaborate with laboratory, manufacturing, analytical support, and site or global IT teams to define and implement requirements.
• Support inspections, ITSM incident and request management, SOP and work-instruction updates, knowledge-base maintenance, and user training.

Requirements

• BS degree and 3–5 years of experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
• Understanding of laboratory science, preferably in cell therapy, and experience with GxP software administration and configuration.
• Experience installing, configuring, and supporting systems and applications in laboratory environments, including standalone or enterprise systems.
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and computer systems validation.
• Experience with customer or user interaction, training, ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Jira, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong problem-solving, prioritization, communication, organization, initiative, and collaboration skills with a commitment to quality.
