Coding Coordinator

What you will do

• Review dashboards and reports to identify and communicate needs to coding leadership.
• Assess and monitor coding work queues, identify changing workloads, and escalate issues.
• Process, record, and trend operational data.
• Monitor, triage, enter, and track IT tickets.
• Coordinate with other departments to resolve missing documentation and support timely visit billing.
• Communicate with vendors and support Epic coding and charging workflows, including testing and upgrades.

Requirements

• Three years of advanced knowledge of billing and coding workflows, procedures, and departmental processes.
• Experience managing coding work queues and coordinating coding updates, corrections, appeals, denials, and rebills.
• Ability to create and maintain complex Excel worksheets.
• Experience supporting Epic coding workflows and coordinating with Epic analysts.
• Compliance with HIPAA, data security requirements, applicable laws, and company policies.
