Pricing Analyst

Location: Not specified; work is primarily performed in an office environment.

Estimated annual pay range: $95,000–$120,000, with the final offer based on location, skills, and experience.

What you will do

• Develop and analyze pricing proposals, cost estimates, subcontractor proposals, and pricing strategies for government contracts.
• Prepare business sections, cost volumes, pricing assumptions, and related sections of government proposals.
• Evaluate labor, indirect, and escalation rates using payroll records, salary surveys, wage determinations, and published indexes.
• Review solicitations to identify pricing impacts, ambiguities, risks, and mitigation options.
• Support customer negotiations and prepare responses to government evaluation notices and negotiation questions.
• Coordinate pricing proposals with Business Development, Proposals, Operations, HR, Accounting, Finance, Contracts, and Legal.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, plus at least three years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to pass a background investigation.
• Experience developing and analyzing pricing proposals for government or government sole-source contracts is preferred.
• Strong understanding of FAR, agency supplements such as DFARS, and other government contracting requirements.
• Ability to work with cost elements, pricing data, and cross-functional proposal teams.

Nice to have

• Certified Pricing Professional certification.
• FAR certification.
• Process improvement certification such as Six Sigma, BPM, or CMMI.
