What you will do
- Develop and analyze pricing proposals, cost estimates, subcontractor proposals, and pricing strategies for government contracts.
- Prepare business sections, cost volumes, pricing assumptions, and related sections of government proposals.
- Evaluate labor, indirect, and escalation rates using payroll records, salary surveys, wage determinations, and published indexes.
- Review solicitations to identify pricing impacts, ambiguities, risks, and mitigation options.
- Support customer negotiations and prepare responses to government evaluation notices and negotiation questions.
- Coordinate pricing proposals with Business Development, Proposals, Operations, HR, Accounting, Finance, Contracts, and Legal.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, plus at least three years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to pass a background investigation.
- Experience developing and analyzing pricing proposals for government or government sole-source contracts is preferred.
- Strong understanding of FAR, agency supplements such as DFARS, and other government contracting requirements.
- Ability to work with cost elements, pricing data, and cross-functional proposal teams.
Nice to have
- Certified Pricing Professional certification.
- FAR certification.
- Process improvement certification such as Six Sigma, BPM, or CMMI.
