TL;DR
Pricing Analyst (Government Contracting): Building and maintaining pricing models and cost inputs for federal contract proposals with an accent on financial modeling, cost realism, compliance, and competitive pricing analysis. Focus on analyzing solicitations, preparing price narratives and BOE documentation, and ensuring pricing artifacts comply with FAR/DFARS requirements.

Location: Fully remote within the United States; applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. Certain roles may require U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a federal background investigation or security clearance.

Salary: $100,000–$140,000 annually

What you will do

  • Build and maintain pricing models and cost inputs in Microsoft Excel for FFP, T&M, cost-plus, IDIQ, and OTA contracts.
  • Develop price narratives, business volumes, basis of estimate documentation, and other proposal artifacts.
  • Analyze RFPs, RFQs, Q&A, and other solicitations for pricing requirements, cost risks, and compliance considerations.
  • Review internal and subcontractor cost inputs and perform cost realism and reasonableness analyses.
  • Support Price to Win analysis, competitive pricing research, subcontractor pricing reviews, and pricing working sessions.
  • Present financials, including cash flow analysis, to leadership and collaborate with finance, growth, and operations through negotiations and proposal submission.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of pricing or financial analysis experience, preferably in government contracting.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling and cost analysis.
  • Familiarity with FAR/DFARS and government contract pricing regulations, especially FAR Parts 12 and 15.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
  • U.S. work authorization is required; U.S. citizenship and federal background investigation or security clearance eligibility may be required for certain roles.

  • Certified Pricing Professional (CPP) certification or similar.
