TL;DR
Pricing Analyst III (Aerospace): Developing and defending sophisticated pricing strategies and cost proposals for aerospace and defense bids with an accent on government contracting compliance, cost volumes, and technical data analysis. Focus on interpreting RFP, RFQ, and SOW documents, conducting pricing audits, analyzing market and historical data, and mentoring pricing analysts.

Location: Hagerstown, Maryland, United States; office environment with potential for hybrid or remote work settings and travel up to 20% as needed.

Salary: $85,768.30–$117,931.40 per year.

What you will do

  • Analyze and interpret RFP, RFQ, and SOW documents to ensure proposal compliance.
  • Develop, review, present, and defend pricing strategies and complex cost proposals.
  • Oversee proposal schedules and ensure accurate, timely submissions.
  • Validate pricing inputs and analyze historical pricing data, market trends, and competitor pricing.
  • Lead internal and external pricing audits and provide supporting documentation.
  • Collaborate with finance, contracts, engineering, and other teams while mentoring pricing analysts and improving pricing processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or 8 years of related experience without a degree.
  • At least 4 years of experience in pricing analysis or a related role.
  • Expert knowledge of government contracting regulations and compliance.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, leadership, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Experience in the aerospace and defense industry, the U.S. Department of Defense, or the U.S. military.
  • Knowledge of FAR, FAR Supplements, Cost Accounting Standards, and government pricing.
  • Certified Pricing Professional certification or similar credentials.
