Budget Analyst – Entry/Intermediate/Senior Level (Defense): Supporting budget formulation, execution, cost estimating, and financial analysis for space vehicle development and acquisition programs with an accent on defense appropriations, financial systems, and acquisition management. Focus on establishing obligation and expenditure plans, maintaining multi-year program records, consolidating estimates, and preparing congressional and intelligence budget submissions.
Location: On-site in Chantilly, Virginia, United States
Salary: $90,000–$150,000 per year, depending on education and experience.

What you will do
- Draft funding documents and support auditable annual financial statements for the NRO.
- Establish obligation and expenditure plans for active-year appropriations and monitor execution throughout the fiscal year.
- Analyze requirements, offices, sub-projects, projects, and appropriations.
- Consolidate Government Estimate at Completion reports and maintain accurate financial and programmatic records across execution and future defense program years.
- Support preparation of the Congressional Budget Justification Book and Intelligence Program Budget Submission.
Requirements
- Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access and pass a Counterintelligence polygraph is required.
- Experience as a Budget Analyst supporting the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, or other government agencies; NRO experience is preferred.
- Ability to operate and update NRO financial tools, including FIRsT, NExT, NFIS, TIER, TALON/STAR, EARL, FTO Tool, and FFO Integration Tool.
- Knowledge of Intelligence Community budgetary principles, procedures, acquisition management regulations, and major system acquisition lifecycle resource planning.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- A bachelor's degree is required, preferably in mathematics, finance, engineering, business, accounting, or the sciences; a master's degree is preferred. Additional experience may substitute for a four-year degree.

- Existing TS/SCI clearance and an active Counterintelligence polygraph.
