TL;DR
Industrial Engineer (Automotive Manufacturing): Implementing lean manufacturing systems and improving production processes at a St. Catharines automotive facility with an accent on throughput analysis, waste elimination, and standardized work. Focus on optimizing workflows, developing manufacturing schedules and crew plans, and solving complex performance and quality issues through continuous improvement.

Location: Onsite in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada; full-time presence required.

Salary: CAD 76,100–114,300 per year.

What you will do

  • Implement lean manufacturing systems directly with production teams and eliminate non-value-generating waste.
  • Analyze throughput data, shop metrics, and production performance to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop, monitor, and analyze Manufacturing Master Schedules using critical path methods.
  • Optimize operation sequences and workflows, and create crew plans for effective resource allocation.
  • Develop and implement changes that improve manufacturing processes and product quality.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing, maintenance, production supervision, and production associates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field; Industrial Engineering is preferred.
  • At least two years of industrial engineering experience with proficiency in lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Factory CAD or equivalent, and Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Access, Project, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to implement process improvements.
  • Familiarity with automotive manufacturing regulations and standards, plus experience with Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Nice to have

  • Completed Global Manufacturing System training.
  • Automotive manufacturing or production experience.
  • Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes.
